WHAT TO DO WHEN WATER DAMAGE OCCURS
1) Make certain that the source of the water flow has been stopped.

2) Call BASIC at 785-979-6851. We can usually get there within the hour.

3) Turn off breakers to affected areas. After you are certain electricity is off, enter the room to unplug and remove all lamps, stereo systems, clocks and anything else that is electric.

4) Remove books, boxes and as many small contents as realistically possible. Don’t forget to check under beds, in closets, etc.

5) Place aluminum foil or plastic under the legs of furniture to prevent permanent carpet staining.

6) Call your insurance company and report the loss.
